The Lord said to Abram after Lot had parted from him, “Look around from where you are, to the north and south, to the east and west. All the land that you see I will give to you and your offspring forever. I will make your offspring like the dust of the earth, so that if anyone could count the dust, then your offspring could be counted. Go, walk through the length and breadth of the land, for I am giving it to you.” Genesis 13: 14-17.
Abram was coming out of a major crisis and it seems he had to start all over. Lot that he raised became a strong contending force and he had to separate from him. There is something with what you see. God told Abram “the land that you see I will give to you”. I tell people my success does not depend on the happenings around, God is the major determinant. The country is going through a major phase now, what we are going through is not as important as what we see and what we say about what is happening. The three wise men saw the star from the east and they kept following it despite all the distractions, they did not loose the sight of what they saw until they got to the place where Jesus was born. Why will you give up on your dreams because of the hardship in the country? Why are you anxious and overwhelmed by the events that are happening all around? Many of us tend to be more informed about the challenges around that what God is able to do.
Jesus and his disciples were in the same boat and the storm arose. They were under the same situation, the disciples were shouting and anxious why Jesus was sleeping. That is how to treat the storm. Mark 4:35-41. What a great rest, right in the middle of the storm. That is a great lesson for us.
Phillipians 4:6-8 .Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
We have few grateful people this time around but more of complainants. Who complain virtually of everything and fail to see reasons why they need to thank God. The sure way to overcoming the storm is by having a grateful heart, by not being anxious or overwhelmed by the situation at hand. By keep focusing on the master, the author and the finisher of our faith. As long as the Lord remains your focus, you will not sink but when you cast off your attention from him, sinking is inevitable. Peter cast off his attention from Jesus, he focused on the storm and started to sink but thanks be to God that he realized and quickly called for help and Jesus held him by the hand and he kept walking again. Tell yourself, I will work again on the storm, no matter where I have fallen.
Beyond the storm, there comes the glory. At the end of the tunnel, there’s light. Wait for it, though it may tarry for it shall surely speak, the vision is for an appointed time.
2017 is a year of great harvest and opportunities. You need to position yourself rightly to enjoy the coming harvest. I see opportunities all aound and I see God lifting men as instruments of harvest for the end time.
John 4:35. Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.”
